This has been on my heart all year.
Romans 14:4
Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
This is what is wrong with social media and the human condition we fight against daily.
It is slander and worse to draw a conclusion about someone's character, calling into question their ministry and discernment because they "liked" something, or said something positive about someone you disagree with.
Whose right? Whose wrong? Who should be shunned? Who should be in prison?
We have no idea what the motivation was. Maybe it was a single sentence Agreed with that the leader you're accusing liked? Maybe it was a mistake?
Make no mistake, it is accusation and it is slander and it is murder with the tongue (gossip) when you say something like, "did you see/hear what so and so did? I can't believe so and so would be so deceived as to agree with anything at all that other person said! Don't they know their wife's dad worked for the Nazis?"
It is time to stop it!
Stop being toxic!
Wash off the cultural slime!
Division is the opposite of God's will for His people, "the world will know you are my disciples by the love you have for one another. "
It is time to hold yourself to Jesus' standard for you and stop behaving like the "Cancel Culture" world?
