The Divine Name?
God has a name in the sense that we call Him things and those things are various aspects of His character. However, He has yet to tell us his actual name, and the "meaning" of the Divine Name is not yet fully known. If it was, there would be no debate over it's pronunciation.
In fact, we do not actually have names either. Our names are descriptors of things, the character we should have or should not have, the purpose we should or should not have or serve, etc. We either fulfill the character(istic) of our name or we fulfill the opposite character of our name is up to us.
Yeshua (Jesus) was not even his name. It was his mission and character on earth. Realign your Character (aka. Identity) with His and you have life in him, with him, through him, and carry his character through you on earth, then you can ask whatever you want In HIs Character, and it will be done. If you do things "out of character-coordination" with him, then, "You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies." John 8:44
Messiah has a name we do not know written on his robe and thigh, according to Revelation 19:16.
We will be given new "real" names at some point. It says so in Revelation 2:17; 3:12, and three verses in Isaiah.
When you realize this truth, what's the point of arguing over how to pronounce The Divine Name?
Everyone who doesn't agree with you or know the truth isn't going to heaven, or just barely gets in?
Your mission in life is argument with those who disagree?
It makes you feel Special because you know the "secret" pronunciation of it, and it gives you a dopamine rush knowing your understanding makes you better?
My dudes and dudettes, youre not on solid ground, because your identity is tied to the "secret knowledge" and not fully established in our Abba residing in Heaven.
I'd say, "You need to get a life", but it would be better said with:
Go get a life established in Him. Not on knowing stuff about Him, because you really have made the stuff your Idol and the focus of your worship.
He's a jealous God who will not suffer idols and idolators to stand, nor live before His presence. You are NOT exhibiting His character by stoking division.
So, yeah.
Get a real life.
It's found in the real Him.
"The Jewish Thing"
- Messianic/Hebrew Roots attracts people looking for identity, who don't know how to find their identity in Abba and Jesus.
- People are enamored with the idea of having secret knowledge that "the other people", "the majority" don't know or reject. That is the definition of Gnosticism (which is a heresy)
- Dr. Michael L Brown was given a warning by the Spirit in the mid-1980's that I have seen time and time again played out on this subject, “the whole Jewish temptation is in the soul realm. It will fascinate, stimulate, complicate, suffocate.”
